At the library, of course!
Delaware County Podcast scooped up the opportunity to head straight to the source of all our libraries have to offer.
In this podcast, hear David Belanger and Margie Stern speak about all that our libraries have to offer in the Delaware County Library System, and how you can help make sure libraries stay around for our children and their children.
It’s easy to get a library card, so go ahead and visit your local library to get one for free. Where, you ask? The Delaware County Library System has 26 member libraries, so thank goodness their website is full of the details you need to find them! Click here for a convenient list and map of library locations and hours.
If you do a little poking around, you’ll see just how valuable our libraries are and might even feel inspired to help them out a bit. It doesn’t take much to send a quick note to our elected officials and tell them just how valuable they are!

And here’s a letter you can copy and paste to send to them.
Dear [name],
I have recently visited my local library and just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate all the resources my library offers.
Aside from the volumes of books and periodicals, the CDs, DVDs, audio books and of course, free internet, is so helpful for me and my family.
Plus, with the help of librarians, finding what I need is much faster and the library provides more reliable information than a search on the internet.
Just knowing the library is available helps me appreciate living here in this community even more.
I cannot imagine losing this valuable resource and hope you feel the same way.
Sincerely,
[name] [location]
